This Week’s Wednesday Faves.. on Thursday.

I have had a wonderful week in Kentucky visiting with outstanding teachers. This app was shared with me by one of those terrific KY teachers. The app is for Math and is called Math Doodles. It was designed by a guy that never really liked or understood math as a kid, so he created this app in a really creative way to help students understand math concepts. Love it! So glad I learned about it this week.

Math Doodles: Cost $2.99

I am a Jib Jab Fan! I have been a member of the online tool to create hilarious videos for a couple of years. Well, now they have an app for kids that allows you to put a picture of someone in the animated story book of the month. The free app features a different picture book each month with the option to purchase others for $7.99. Now, this app is animated but does not read aloud the story. This was designed for parents to sit with their child and imagine this… actually READ the text together. How about that? The fun is of course the student’s picture as the main character. The stories are rhyming and full of color and details. Make one of your own to try it out. You will soon want to use it at school and home! I put my daughter’s picture in the example and loved the way it looked. This month’s story is The Biggest Pizza Ever.
