As we continue our Tech or Treat Day I started thinking about Halloween as a kid. I was a gypsy, witch, cheerleader, and hobo I believe over the years. It was good, clean, simple fun for me and my brother. I found myself humming a song my 2nd grade teacher taught us for Halloween. It is a very old Disney song from a Donald Duck cartoon. I just remember my teacher putting the big, vinyl record on the classroom record player and us singing every afternoon together. We learned songs for each holiday and month of the year. I loved that class! We’ve come a long way from those poppin’ and scratchin’ albums, but music is still one of the most positive things we can use in the classroom to build community and learn content. So, take a trip back to a much simpler time with these gems!
