I love Greg Tang books. I have all of them from the Grapes of Math to Math Potatoes! I encourage you to make Tang’s books part of your classroom library and instruction. I also invite you to visit his engaging site Greg Tang’s World of Math. Your students will enjoy the games and you will find many ways to make math come alive for your class.

We got apps, yes we do! We got apps, how ’bout you? SDE recently made the popular math games Number Bonds available in iPad app format. The cost is $1.99 for each app. There is an app for Addition/Subtraction and one for Multiplication/Division facts. Make sure to visit the App Store and get your number bonds on!

K-2 teachers working on base ten concepts, head on over to the App Store and install the app Common Core Number and Operations in Base Ten by Elementary Connections. Not only will you love the game like format for working with base ten, but you can select the specific Common Core Standard you want to focus on. We like alignment! Cost of the app is $2.99.
