I am proud and honored to be a MOM! I can’t have a conversation or do a presentation without talking about my two kids. Austin and Ashlyn are true blessings. I have enjoyed every stage of their growing up and they amaze me with the wonderful adults they have become. Both of these kids have chosen to trade relaxing summers, for weeks of work with and for others. I couldn’t be prouder! This has been their pattern for the last four years. Well, this year my son, Austin, is headed to Uganda to work with boys who were left homeless and without families after the country’s political struggles through the organization A Perfect Injustice. Ashlyn is working with special needs children at the incredible Camp Barnabas here in Missouri. If you are looking for organizations to support or causes for your classes to help next year, I encourage you to check out both of these nonprofits that serve others. I know lots of students headed out on mission trips and community projects this summer. This generation makes me smile when I think of how much of themselves they are willing to give in service to others. Happy Summer, Everyone!
