Summer Sandbox: July Training Opportunities

Think Summer! It is almost here. I want to invite you to my Summer Sandbox Trainings in July. What is a Summer Sandbox? A Sandbox is a place where you can “play” with technology. I will be covering different topics and then you get to play. I will be there to help and coach you through the process.

Summer is a wonderful time to attend tech training. You are more relaxed and you usually have more time to work with it. You will have new things ready to roll in August when we start the new school year. Last year at our summer session we had over 30 teachers attend. Hope to see you this year!
GRADUATE CREDIT will be offered through Lindenwood. You can receive 1 hour of credit for attending 2 of the days.

Wednesday, July 1: Beginner Sandbox (All Day Session)
We will cover the following topics on a beginner level.
  • Blogs
  • Basic SmartBoard
  • Web 2.0 Tools (great websites to use)
  • Creating Photo Slideshows

Thursday, July 2: Advanced Sandbox (All Day Session)

We will cover the following topics on the advanced level. This just means you feel pretty comfortable with tech tools.

  • Google Earth Lessons
  • Podcasts and Videos
  • Wikis
  • Web 2.0 Tools

Tuesday, July 7 (All Day Session): Creating Smart Board Lessons

This entire day will be used for learning how to make interactive Smart Board lessons. You will learn strategies and then immediately put those into practice. This will help you get a jump start on lessons for 09-10.
