I’ve got 2 great things to tell you about for September. You are going to want to be part of these opportunities. It’s what all the cool kids are doing these days. LOL
1) International Dot Day: September 15
Inspire creativity in your students and celebrate everyone “making their mark” on Dot Day. This special day is in honor of the popular book The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds. Last year, many of you joined in the fun and shared your classroom experiences with us. I hope you will do so again this year. Visit the official site to download the Educator Handbook to give you great ideas and resources. Then visit the new Celebri-dots blog to see how other famous authors and illustrators are sharing their artwork and creativity ideas to inspire all of us. Put this day on your lesson plans and make it a day to remember!

2) Limeades for Learning: Donors Choose
Need supplies, resources, or technology for your classroom? Who doesn’t? Submit a project to Limeades for Learning, a special program from Donors Choose for possible funding. Each year Sonic supports various projects by having people vote for their favorite projects. Those with the highest number of votes are funded. During the last few years it has been an honor to spotlight readers of Lori’s Latest Links and their Limeades for Learning projects. We seem to whip up lots of votes and several of our very own have had their projects fully funded during this campaign. We want to see that again this year.
First, submit your own project by September 9. Then, visit the Limeades for Learning site during the weeks of September 23 until October 27 and VOTE for your faves! Don’t forget to drop by my blog and let me know about your project and I will share it with our readers!
