Just like many of you, I have been trying out every way I can think of to project my iPad in presentations and teaching. I have the Apple adapter I use with my projector. I have been known to put my iPad under my document camera to show. I used the app Splashtop and other such things. Well, thanks to many of you in my sessions you convinced me to try Reflection and I am glad I did. Reflection costs around $15 and works with your wifi and computer. You actually load Reflection onto your computer, not the iPad. Then when you have both devices on the same wifi network, you can select to share your computer screen with your iPad and tada… your iPad is displayed on your screen through your computer. Now, I am not stuck to my projector cord right by my computer. However, please note that sometimes you lose connection, but I have found the more I used it this summer, the happier I was with the process. There are lots of tutorials on YouTube about Reflection and I highly suggest you to check them out if you are considering using this tool. So, break free and teach with your iPad from anywhere in your room. Yippee!
