Just like many of you I spend hours reading blogs, checking Twitter, and zipping through Pinterest. Here are a couple of things I found in the last few days that I thought were really great. Hope you do too!
#1: Teaching Idioms with InstaCollage App
Love this idea SOOO much! I am such a big fan of using picture collages in the classroom! This teaching idea is going into my bag of goodies. This lesson has students acting out idioms and then taking photos of the action. Then the lesson is expanded to include Amelia Bedelia. Who doesn’t love her? See student examples and visit this great blog Technology Tailgate and the author of the lesson’s blog I Integrate Technology for all the details. Bravo, Mindy! I like how you think!

#2: GradeCam
Tired of grading? What a silly question. This new tool helps you grade by using your webcam to scan student assessments and then it grades the work for you. For real? Yep! This would work for those things that are done with multiple choice type items, but it could save lots of time. Got this one from Twitter and the incredible MO educator, Diana Dell.
#3: Retirement has never been so much fun!
This video by Amber Coggin of Smart Board Goodies blog is really something! I loved watching the whole thing. What a memorable way to celebrate a principal! I was so pleased it was shared on Twitter. Well Done! Loved it, Collier Elementary School!
