Clorox is sponsoring a grant program for schools from now through January. It works a lot like Limeades for Learning or Donors Choose. Submit your grant idea and then voters will start voting on October 24. They will announce the winners in January. Clorox will award 4 schools $25,000 and one school $50,000. I know everyone dreams of what we would do with some money for our schools. Here’s your chance. Nominate your school and send in your grant idea. Let me know and I will publicize it here on my blog when voting starts in October. Let’s get a winner here on Lori’s Latest Links!
There are also games and teaching ideas on the Clorox site.

Hello Lori, I saw back on one of your September blog entries that you would be willing to publicize Clorox Power a Bright Future entries. I am a coach and graduate of Hardin-Houston Local School in Houston, OH. We are entered for this grant to further fund a new outdoor athletic complex for both school and community use. We have been raising money through private donations, but in today’s economy that has been tough. Our entry can be found at:

We are 6th in votes received in our category, but we need a lot of help as we are a small rural community. I appreciate any help that you can give us.
Thank you
