Over the last few weeks Good Morning America had a contest for high schools to win a concert with Katy Perry. They had to create a video that illustrated their interpretation of her new song, Roar. (Which I absolutely love! I feel like I can run a marathon or something when I hear it. Anywho….) So, all these high schools submitted videos and they got it down to 5 and then Katy Perry chose the winning school and performed there last Friday. I watched each day as they shared the videos of the finalists and it was refreshing to see students get that into a project. But the day they showed the video from Lakewood High School in Colorado.. I knew it would win. Yep, even tweeted about it. This school pulled together as one team to make the video. Every club, activity, sport, group, etc. was represented. IMPRESSIVE! The concept they used is fun, engaging, and spotlights how talented our kids really are at using technology tools. I also would love to applaud the administration and staff of the school for supporting such a huge project. Watching the collaboration, school spirit, and teamwork of the entire student body was inspiring! Bravo! If you haven’t seen this one, take a minute and get your ROAR on!
